Komatsu Forklift U.S.A., Inc., a division of Komatsu Forklift Co., Ltd., International Division and Komatsu Utility Co., Ltd., builds rugged, durable and dependable forklifts that are an integral part of our supply chain.

Our heritage goes back a long way. Komatsu, Ltd., founded in 1921, began in Japan as a manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. The company quickly grew into an industry leader, building Japan’s first modern farm tractor and bulldozer.

Through the years, Komatsu has evolved and grown through the use of innovative designs and technological superiority, and today is positioned as a global giant on the strength of its experience and expertise in the fields of mining, construction, excavating, and logistics.

Since its beginnings in 1945, Komatsu Forklift Co., Ltd. has grown tremendously, building on its superior design and manufacturing capabilities to build the type of rugged and dependable forklift trucks that customers the world over have come to depend on. Komatsu Forklift U.S.A., Inc. was established in 1976 to meet the ever-growing demand for its products in North America. In 1990, in order to improve efficiencies and cost competitiveness, all U.S. Komatsu Forklift manufacturing and product support operations were consolidated in a new state-of-the art facility in Covington, Georgia.

Today Komatsu Forklift U.S.A., Inc. continues as a leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative, and durable forklifts meeting the needs of customers in North America, Central and Latin America, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean. Our Covington, Georgia plant is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that is very vertically integrated. We start the manufacturing process with raw steel, fabricate and weld, prepare and paint and then assemble, maintaining control of quality throughout the manufacturing cycle, assuring our customers that quality gets built-in from start to finish.
